Planning
Good planning is essential to make your website project a success.
A good start for your plan is the website inquiry form.
Answer the questions in the form and send it to us. We will get back to you soon. In most cases we will propose to arrange a meeting. We'll discuss the scope of the project and answer any questions you may have.
The next step is the preparation of a project description and a quotation.
When you accept the quotation a project liaison will be assigned. You will work with one person who will know all the details of your project
We will setup a client account on this website so you can monitor the progress of your project.
The development process
The first phase will be logo design or, when a logo is available, implementation of the existing logo in the first website draft. Included in the first draft will be the navigation system and placeholder pages for every page. Some color scheme options might be prepared as well.
Parallel to this the client will gather all the material needed for the site. This includes illustrations, photos and (material for) the written content.
The draft will be fully functional so you can 'click around'.
The next step is deciding on the final design. If the draft is different from what you had in mind or if your decide to change colors, page layout or navigation options we will prepare another draft and another... until you are happy with what you see.
Then the textual content has to be written and illustrations will be chosen from your material, designed or bought.
The final design stage is putting it all together and the presentation of the final draft.
Approval and testing
After proofreading and online testing, the final design will be presented to you. Corrections and minor changes will be carried out.
Now your site is ready to be launched! Depending on the hosting solution you decided on, SiriuS will publish the website or you will receive the website code on CD or DVD to be published at the web host of your choice.
Together we will monitor the site closely during the first couple of weeks. Although we test all sites thoroughly, unexpected errors might occur and we'll fix those straight away.
What's next?
Now your site is online and you're happy with it, we will submit the site to the major search engines.
This does not mean that you will be found on the first page when you enter the keywords which describe your business or service. To get a good result in the search engines you will have to start working on Search Engine Optimization. We can help you to get started with the optimization process.
Like every website, your site will need maintenance. Announcements of new products and services and changes in the content will have to be implemented. SiriuS website Design does not leave you alone after your site is online. We offer website maintenance either on a contract basis or whenever you need our services.
We will contact you for an evaluation of the project approximately a month after your site went live.
